and thoroughly while
applying them to a variety of challenging problems.

Skills
I utilize a fluent understanding of C++ in a variety of areas, including:
- Desktop application development, with in-depth deployment knowledge of all platforms (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux)
- Parallel programming with threads, network/message passing and Linux clusters
- Web application development with a variety of database connectivity options
- Scalable network/communications programming, including protocol parsing (for e.g. HTTP)
- 3D programming and visualization, using OpenGL and toolkits such as VTK
- Algorithm optimization, including rewriting/refactoring for better performance, concurrency and memory use
- 32-bit and 64-bit architecture optimizations
I also draw upon experience from other programming languages
when appraching challenges. Some of the langauges I have
used extensivly include Java, Python and PHP.
